Hardware for 1947 Rocket

Post by 47rocket » Mon Sep 01, 2014 7:20 pm

I have a 1947 CC Rocket that does not have the two chrome rails the run down the freeboard where it meets the transom. (I'm not sure what these are called.) Could someone tell me the name for these and how I can obtain two of them?

I'm guessing that you are referring to the vertical shiny trim pieces that cover the intersection of the topside planks and the transom planks. I call them "transom bands". if someone out there has one of these perhaps they can provide dimensions and screw location, better yet a traced pattern. I'm not sure of thickness but they were likely Stainless. A cutwater replicator would be a good choice if someone doesn't offer up a pair of originals.

Yes, thanks. That's a better description of what I'm looking for.
