Polishing Chrome
I am a new owner and want to polish my chrome. Thinking of using Nevr-Dull. Any issues? Should I tape off the wood ?
Re: Polishing Chrome
Nevr Dull is a very good product for chrome. I use it and don't tape off the varnish, but I am careful not to rub it into the varnish. It isn't an abrasive product.

Re: Polishing Chrome
I have routinely use Mother's Mag wheel cleaner to get off the oxidation followed with Mother's chrome polish. Some might disagree but for mildly pitted or badly tarnished pieces I start with # 00000 steel wool. Be sure and clean it well after because the steel wool will rust quickly in weather or you can use bonze wool which costs appreciably more but wont rust. Good luck.

Bronze wool will scratch the chrome.

Re: Polishing Chrome
While both are softer than chromium, Bronze wool is softer than steel and in my experience less likely to scratch. I've seen show chrome ruined by both. If you decide to use "wool" get the finest you can find.
