I'm going to start on my 51 Rivera, anyone know of good suppliers for some wood in Iowa? Is Philippine mahogany still available?

I had good luck with LL Johnson in western Michigan.

Thanks! Sounds like the place to go, western Michigan isn't that far for a road trip!

Just to let ya know I found Philippine Mahogany at Liberty Hardwoods, Inc in Ankeny, Iowa. Only about 80 miles from my house! Good guys to work with and they are interested in wooden boats too! :D

Also try Cedar Tree Restoration in Des Moines, especially for marine plywood. Marge and Paul Morris.

I think I checked with them about the Okoume plywood. Are they the Higgens folks? They only had 3 sheets at the time and I was thinking I need 4 to do my bottom. I ended up in you neck of the woods and went to Midwest Boat Appeal in St.Bonifacius, MN for the Okoume and I found a deal on a bandsaw in Minnetonka so I got to fill my truck with supplies!
Thanks for the tip!
