Tavares, FL Sunnyland Show!!
Alright everyone, the big show is mere weeks away.
Don Ayers and Angilla Baccus (our new assoc. Editor) will be manning the tent and look forward to visiting will all who come by.
Bill Basler and Brian Robinson will not be attending and Terry will of course be around running the show.
We will be sharing a tent with the wild and crazy Woody Boater Matt Smith.
Al Benton, you are officially in charge of a group picture, last I heard you were talking Sat at 1 PM??
We need a few volunteers to spread the word about our group, the fantastic benefits and the Brass Bell magazine.
Looking forward to seeing everyone!!!

Don, we all look forward to the show and to meeting Angela and, of course, seeing you again. We'll certainly miss Bill and Brian at the show this year.
Lets make it official: Meet at the Chris-Craft display at 1:00 pm on Saturday for fellowship and photo. It will be great to see a big group of us there.
For those (like John Rothert) who can't be there on Saturday, be at the display at 4:00 pm Friday. We'll have a good visit, take a photo and photoshop you into the group photo. Hey, come by both times, if you can.

Can anyone tell me if Sunnyland is going to sponsor any short cruises during the show for participants as has been done in the past? The last time I had a boat there was in 2004 and there was at least one cruise thru the Dora canal, Dead River and down to the public park on lake Harris for a barbque. I just had all the brightwork on my Carver refinished at Rand Speas' restoration shop in Welaka but don't want to bring it down just to park it at the dock for 3 days. I do plan to be there one way or the other Friday to meet up with John and Al and sneak into the group picture even if only by digital magic. dick baner

I too will miss seeing Bill and Brian, but look forward to seeing all the rest of the gang. I will be there on thursday at some point, and all day friday. Anyone debating about making the trip should just MAKE IT HAPPEN, the best show/gathering...thanks to Terry and the Sunnyland crew.

On my Way
Catching a 6Am flight to the Sunnyland Show from Scranton PA, 6 inches of snow today and more expected tomorrow. Can't wait for some nice weather and my first trip to Mt Dora/Taverse City.

Please, pardon my ignorance....but Big Block 6's? Is it me or do those look like they only have 6 pipes each on them?
I'm not questioning your post really, more questioning the exhaust on those engines. How did they get 4 into 3 on each bank?

It's a pair of V-8s. Click on the photo to blow it up. You can see the valve covers. Don't know how/why they did the exhaust that way.

Saw/HEARD it with the Packards years ago at Tahoe....yummy!
BTW: I don't think they were 4M 2500's; I think they were 1M or 3M's (earlier and much more rare).
The 4-into-3 exhaust system is a (common) mash-up when installing BBC's into something that may have been born with a V-12; the center ports are 'siamesed' when fabricating the exhaust manifold.
