If for some reason....

Post by dragonfly » Tue Jan 12, 2010 10:07 am

Good morning all. If for some reason anybody might be in the Denver area this weekend, The Boat Show is Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the 15th, 16th,& 17th of January. Our chapter( Rocky Mountain Classics) has a very nice display planned this year. Due to a shrinkage of boat dealers and participants, we have a fairly large space..Any way come see us if anyone is in the Denver area!

They plan them all on the same weekend for some reason. The Glacier lakes chapter will be at the Milwaukee boat show and the Blackhawk Chapter will be at the Chicago show too.

Winter Boat shows

Post by Wilson Wright » Wed Jan 13, 2010 11:06 am

Wow ! Shows that Denver, Chicago and Milwaukee with antiques and classics on display at all three...Hope Bill Baldwin has contacts so we can see pictures and comments in the next Brass Bell. Seems like there also used to be a show in Detroit with woodies on display and on one or two occasions woodies were on display at the big NYC boat show. Bill Basler could have a heyday with good photos from those five shows.

We have a show coming up in St. Louis next month too. We're being given a large area and will probably display 16 to 20 boats, some outboards and a few models (boats, not folks). We were voted the most popular display the last 2 years. More later about this one.

Al - Perhaps the upcoming St. Louis Boat Show would be a perfect place to debut your new cap? It would probably be a "Show Stopper" and you could break it in before the boating season gets under way...

Great idea, Reg. The new cap should be here just in time for the show. I would look so official in that cap I would have to promote WoodyBoater.com, ACBS, our local Chapter, Chris-Craft Antique Boat Club and would probably have to stay afterward to help sweep the floors with the cleaning crew.
