As a follow up to one of my other posts in Hull Construction, I have also been working on getting the interior goods refurbished for my 1964 XL175 Sunlounger, aka: The Blue Bomb.
The seats were a total redo, starting with making new seat bases and backs out of marine plywood. The originals were rotting away, but good enough to use for patterns. The new issue seats are a dead ringer for the originals, except I fabricated new stainless steel hinges, and used all stainless hardware including the tee nuts.
One of my local upholsterers did the rest of the job. Results are good. And yes, these are pictured in the front entry of our house. My wife loves it when I do this.
