I hope somebody who knows and appreciates these boats can jump on it. It was just reduced from 2 to 1 thousand dollars. Very rare boat and seems decent.

The 25' Lancer
Well the Craigslist 25' Lancer is long gone by now, but the 25' Lancer model deserves some exposure here, as it is an awesome boat.
This boat has the Jim Wynne design, whether Jim was personally involved or not remains to be seen, however, we had a 23 Commander and 25 Lancer side in the parking lot at Bay Harbor this year and the hull profiles are identical. As you can see from the photo, this one is a twin engine model, powered by a pair of Buick 225B V6 motors, and it is up on a plane so fast it would make your head spin. The 23 Lancer is quickly gaining a legendary reputation for handling rough water, and this one is right there with it.
Herb Pocklington saw this boat, and at 83 years young, he was up the ladder and into the boat to take a good look.
First photo, my Janet aboard the 25.
Second photo, Herb Pocklington with his possee, checking out the 23 Commander and 25 Lancer.
This is a rather rare classic, only 80 were produced in 1969 - 1971, available with a single 283FLV or a pair of V6 motors, the latter being the right choice for this big hull.
Regards,
Paul
