Got my Brass Bell in the mail today but it arrived with the mailer all dirty, bent and torn. When I opened it the magazine was bent and folded. It's still readable but not in the condition it usually arrives in. It was not marked do not fold. I hope this isn't indicative of what we can expect from this new mailing company. It may also have been the USPS' fault but I can't say.

Mine and my wife's came yesterday as well. One of them survived the journey well but the other magazine was damaged. I am sure that this didn't happen prior to leaving the mailing house but was due to the pounding the USPS gave them in transit.

Bill, I'll send you one of mine.

Thanks for the offer Al but a replacement copy is not needed. I'm sure the Club can use the money elsewhere.

Great job on retaining the excellent quality of the Brass Bell, BUT!

As most of the board members know I am a Chris Craft guy but love to read about other manufacturers. In this latest issue of the Brass Bell I am just surprised at the direction of the articles. Not that they are not interesting to me but just suprised at the subject matter. This is the Brass Bell (Chris Craft)! Check the Mission
This issue had:
People's Choice - Western Fairliner 4 pages
Take the Helm - 67 Century 2 pages
Viva Riva Viva Tahoe 2012 4 pages
Member Profile - Riva again 3 pages

Great for Carla from Hagerty put a nice photo of a Chris Craft in her article.

Just an observation but I like the Brass Bell for Chris Crafts stories and research articles.
I do as many others subscribe to Classic Boating, ACBS and local chapter publications for other flavors.

AS any Chris Craft owner it is fun to have their favorite model featured in a nice write up with pictures. I have chriscraftites and feel it is the boat that most people will look at for affordability due to production numbers. More Chris Craft content would be nice. picture , Laurie Beth 1937 cc triple custom

Is a digital version of the new Brass Bell available or are we once again at the mercy of USPS?

Agreed with the "more CC" opinion, but... It made it to Duvall today (outside Seattle) in great shape.

John. We need an article on white sided U-22's for the next issue.

Are you up to the challenge?

Glad to report my copy arrived! Unfortunately I can't tell you exactly when. My family stuck the envelope in a pile of stuff tucked out of sight. I was just thinking, when is the Brass Bell going to arrive when I was suprised to see it sitting on my counter. It looks GREAT. So exciting to flip the pages. Great work!
Also very pleased to see the web based E copy is now working. Very cool!

Just received issue # 2 today. It arrived in Düsseldorf, Germany in excellent condition.
Super, no months of waiting. Will waste away my afternoon on the couch now.

Al,

Thanks so much for the pristine copy. I've passed along my other copy to a fellow CC owner who is not a member of the club. Hopefully now he'll join! Unrelated topic: We're experiencing the lowest water levels EVER in Lakes Huron and Michigan this year. Perhaps a subject for a future Brass Bell?

Keep an eye on your mailbox Stovebolt - yesterday I received 4 Brass Bells in the mail. Two of the issues from the September mailing and two copies of the most recent issue.

(Nice work Jim)
