Excellent info and photos! Amazing that this was created and saved. Thanks very much. Do you have any idea where to get straw-flame fabric ?

Re: Color for seats/ cushions for a 56 CC Sedan cruiser.
Attached is my hull card. It says flame as well but can you explain the “straw”. I assume it would be naugahide as well ? Thank you sir. You have been greatly helpful in solving the mystery.

Re: Color for seats/ cushions for a 56 CC Sedan cruiser.
Wow. Yellow or gold , A far stretch from a red color. Very key info including your original seats. Can you send me a copy of your Hull card? I just want to use that as a reference when challenged. Greatly appreciated.

Re: Color for seats/ cushions for a 56 CC Sedan cruiser.
Thanks Jim. If anyone has any original pix or drawing I would appreciate that. Someone also mentioned that flame was more of a Salmon color. A little unsure. I guess if judges see something close to a red flame color that would be good enough. Thanks again.

Distributor cap with no wire boots
I had my boat judged and was dinged for the wires going into the distributor cap for having boots. Is there a different distributor cap for wires without boots. It’s a KL engine.

Re: Chris-Craft Storage at Elevation
I’ve stored my 27’ CC Sedan Cruiser with Sierra boat in a Wharehouse in Truckee for 5 years or so. No issue with the wood. Things will dry out slightly but it’s dry there even in the summer. Best of luck.

Re: Hatch drawings for a 56 CC Sedan Cruiser with flying bridge
Thanks a bunch Captain. Greatly appreciated. Will be building a new one this winter with your measurements. I was given a drawing of a front view of a hatch. There is a metal rim or drip catcher on the front edge.

Re: Hatch drawings for a 56 CC Sedan Cruiser with flying bridge
Excellent. Photo would be great. I recall that drip edge on my prior boat a 32’ Connie. I think the hinge and fold over prevented the flying bridge adjustable window sliders from hitting the top. Sorry for the duplicate upload, my mistake. Greatly appreciate it.

Re: Identify Light
Have never seen this manufacturer before. I have an Ivalite on my 56 cruiser. That was a popular manufacturer. I was given a half point off at a show due to the Ivalite not being part of the original delivery. Good luck, also getting a bulb for that may be tough.

Re: Looking for Previous owners and history of hull SC28688
I found an error in what the boat registration had listed for the hull number. I found and verified the true hull number found in the stern. It is 27668 instead of 27688. It had a hull card and the engine serial numbers matched my engines. Still looking for original or 2nd or third owners. Thanks.

I have a 1956 Chris Craft 27’ Sedan Cruiser . The hull card says a fog bell was provided when new. Where would they have placed that on the boat?
