Thanks Joe!
Can you tell me the horsepower for L,LA,LB, and LC engines? I believe these all use the Hercules JXC block. The Aluminium head for the L series often goes bad, does the K series head (Hercules QXD block) interchange with the L series engines?
Thanks in advance!

Re: 1932 Chris Craft Bilge and bottom paint
My 1932 is a Model 300. I just received Sandusky gray bilge paint, seems to dark for what is on my boat that is likely original color, although I have not tested it on the boat. Bottom paint replies suggest bottom paint correct color is copper bronze or red? Suggestion for a source for that? Thanks ...

I have Fiberglass coated bottom so do not need an expensive antifouling paint. IS copper bronze the correct color? I have seen some with a dark red , da...

1932 Chrysler 4 cylinder Tachometer not working
My Tachometer works if you remove from engine and spin the cable with an electric drill. Any ideas what could be problem engine side? I know some of the gears were fiber on this engine, any ideas? Thanks CJ

Re: 1932 Chrysler 4 cylinder- 1932 Chris Craft Babbited bear
Thanks, That sounds like good advice. I have worked extensively with Ford Model A Babbitted engines and with a high compression head a modest increase in Horse power does increase the performance without decreasing engine life.

1932 Chrysler 4 cylinder- 1932 Chris Craft Babbited bearing?
I am having a 4 cylinder Chrysler rebuilt for 1932 15.5 runabout and wish to keep the engine original, but would not mind increasing the horse power from the 55hp original output. I assume this engine has babbited bearings but can anyone confirm this? Also Can high compression heads be purchased for...

Thanks for that question, I had not thought of that. Would you know if a 1932 Chrysler 4 cylinder can be converted to inserted bearing?

Can anyone tell me where I can find serial numbers chart the ID's year for B engines? I wish to obtain a later 1930's model in hopes it has inserted bearings. Needed for 15.5 ft Chris
