Re: newbie
Hi Jim! I would highly recommend the electronic ignition conversion! We have 350s in our '66 Futura (reengined sometime in the late 80s - early 90s) - sounds awesome. Problem i had was at low revs shifting into reverse the lugging would often kill port engine. After rebuilding carbs ($45 per for kit...

Cracked the glass trying to go past that bend. =\ You guys had that problem w/ hinges? ..and do you know of a good remedy other than c...

Re: Forward hatch cover for CC Futura
We have an after-market hatch that was installed sometime in the 90s (maybe). It fits pretty well as non-original equipment.

Re: Mid-60s Helm Parts Wanted
I am investigating possibly getting castings made for reproduction. If so i'll see how big a production run could be made and offer some up for sale to help defray the cost.

Re: jonesing for NOS Nautolux
This appears to be the parent company that produces NAUTOLEX.

If enough people bug them to roll out a limited production run of OEM product they may come through. Shouldn't be all that hard for them.

Mike... you might be able to get something from these guys: http://www.perfectfit.com/
They didn't have what I needed but were very helpful when I brought sample in to see if anything could be matched.
Good luck!

Re: jonesing for NOS Nautolux
I would LOVE to get hold of white "planked" vinyl for my '67 Cavalier deck as well. They old stuff was painted over several times and even slapped w/ some fiberglass in couple spots.
All i need is enough for 14 x 11 ft. Sigh....

Re: reed and prince screws vs. frearson
I'm guessing CC didn't fret too much over which screws they were using at the time as long as they fit and looked good.
Now go outside and play!!

Re: Dimension/Drawing Enginebay 30' Cavaliers
I've got a '67 Cavalier Futura 33' and it has twin 350s in it. I believe it was re-engined in the early 90s... have only had it since Jan this year.
The MarinerMuseum may have said drawings... i've been meaning to order some myself for my boat.

Deck rails/hardware for '67 Cavalier
Other than buying some stock and milling it myself to repair/replace a couple of rear deck rails - anybody have an option or resource or done this already??
I have two router bits that approximate the top/lower radius but it's not quite right.
Thanks!
