I have a 1964 Chris-craft custom ski boat . I’ve noticed more and more water being in the boat . The boat hangs in the water all season long doesn’t swell up like it used to. So I would like to know when is it time to redo bottom?

I have a 1964 custom ski boat . I looking for what to use between the planks on the bottom of the boat .Some gaps seem to look as if there is some chaulk or compound missing.

My original Prestolite ALE 5202 7U alternator have gone bad, had it check out and rotor is shot. Does anyone know a part number to replacement my 2 wire alternator ? Chuck

I'm in the process of replacing cutlass bearing . I have removed the strut when I reinstall strut should I seal bolt holes with anything (boat life seal).

I need to install a bilge pump in my 64 CC ski boat. I'm not sure about how to install the thru hull fitting out the side of the boat? How much bigger should the hole be then the fitting ? Does the inside need a wooden spacer between the hull and the nut ? What should I use to seal around the fitting?

Peter that was the problem ,pulled intake blanked off exhaust . Running good as new will deal with welding it up in the fall . Thks again.

Jim its flywheel forward and I dont remember there being anything inside. Will have to double check any ideas where to get replacement?

Peter this sounds like it could be it just need to check it out . Can the exhaust baffle that cross over just be blanked off so exhaust does go through.

Jim the piece that come off the back of the carb with hex nut ends is this the pcv value . Should there be something inside this I do not recall when I had it off ? Maybe a valve? As for the filler tube the baffle seam to look in the wrong position, so I fab an extension and put 2 baffles and off se...

The PCV valve is not in typical location on covers . There is a tube that run from back of carb into crankcase could this be it?

The oil level was one of my thoughts.The angle that the engine sits at makes it seem like the oil just doesnt get back down to the crankcase fast enough.The filler tube is right at the lowest point on the engine when crusing . I will give it a try.
