Old thread, but could someone pls tell me what the blue sealant is that surrounds the rope in the exhaust elbow fitting? I have opened mine up to replace the worn out rope, but I see the rope was surrounded by some kind of flexible blue rubberized sealant. Is this one of the permatex sealants sold i...

Yes, it's a straight inboard. Should be a decent ski boat for a hull of this vintage. Rides very nice, even in fairly rough water, and has plenty of power.
