Paint

I will have to check on specific paints when I get back into town, hopefully I still have the can around the shop.

Paint

We put two or three coats of primer on the bottom and 5 coats of the anti-fouling paint. We scuffed each primer coat with 100 grit between coats and anti-fouling with 220 between coats.

I thought we had it down and was really surprised to see the chipping off down to primer in so many spots

Antifouling paint

Restored a 1965 17' Custom Ski. Pulled it out of the water after a month to have the seat upholstery adjusted. We are missing a lot of little spots of paint on the bottom. Primer appears to be intact. Anyone have any recommendations on paint to use?

1964 Custom Ski Throttle

Put the boat in the water yesterday after 22 years of being dry. The throttle was reassembled how it appeared to be, but when driving forward we had to move the throttle pretty far to get it to catch. There are a few areas that can be adjusted. Anyone have any suggestions on settings?

Throttle Assembly

Have a '65 CC Custom Ski, getting close to finishing a complete refurb. In moving the boat to a different shop I lost the pictures for the throttle assembly. Anyone have a diagram or pictures?

Steering Wheel

Does anyone know where I can get a new steering wheel to match the original for my 1965 17' custom ski? I believe the steering wheel is from at 1964 Galaxie. I have contacted a few car places with no luck. I have the original, but it has several cracks. Is repairing an option and what would I use? h...

Steering Wheel

Hello,

I have a 1965 Chris Craft 17' Custom Ski Boat. My steering wheel is showing some age with cracks and pits. Anyone know where to have it repaired or where to locate a replacement to match original?

Thanks

Hardware for 1965 Chris Craft

Hello,

I am trying to locate a few pieces of hardware for my 1965 C-C 17' Custom Ski Boat. I am missing two scoops, a star, two trim pieces, and a few hooks. I have pictures of missing. Also, looking for a rudder & prop set.

Thank you

The material is on the inside of the housing, right next to the engine. I am not sure if it is a heat resistant material or not. It almost looks like product that is sprayed on some truck beds.

Engine Housing on 1965 Custom Ski Boat

Working on restoring a 17' custom ski boat. The engine housing had a black material that is fairly thick and needs replaced. Anyone have an idea of what this stuff is or where I can get it?
