Roamer group
WAY late to this party...but here's my 1969 38' aluminum Roamer Regal sedan. I have loved these Roamers since I was a kid on the Ohio River in Cincinnati on my dad's Cavalier. Her name is HONEY WEST. I bet most of you guys over 50 know who Honey West is! We keep our boat at VIP Marina on Lake Travis...

Australian boat naming
This forum has been such a resource to me over the past few months, I am glad to offer any help I can. Since I am not much of a mechanic, I can at least help with the naming of your new boat. Try this link:

Boat renaming ceremony
I have a 1969 Roamer Regal. I was planning to re-name her a couple of weekends ago, and I had heard about this renaming ceremony, and dismissed it as superstitous sea lore. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID! I brought the new name on board (luckily, I did not scrape off the old name yet) on several...

I found the following information on the BoatDiesel.com forum "If your looking for help with your Paragon Marine Transmission: Call Great Lakes Power Products. They are the OEM manufacturer of the transmissions and the service parts. 440-951-5111 The two fellows in the parts department, Charlie and ...

Hi John: Thanks again for your insight. My P-Series is NOT interchangable with the HJ-7's, just as you suspected. There IS a difference in the length of the shaft between the 2 types and it would require a lot of reconfiguring (and $$$) to get these to fit. I spoke with a man named Charlie at Parago...

Thanks for the reply. I am new to these older Chris Crafts (My dad had them when I was a kid) so I am learning as I go. It could be the HF series went with the smaller Chris Craft V-8 engines. My operator's manual for the Model 427 V-8 engine has a section called REVERSE GEAR and the sub head is "Pa...

Paragon Transmissions
My starboard transmission went out on my 1969 Roamer Regal (38' Aluminum). I removed the plate and its model number is P-44-R. I found a pair of Paragon HJ-7 transmissions off a 1965 42' Conqueror. The original engine manual that came with my boat stated Chris Craft used BOTH the P-Series AND HJ-7 t...

1969 Roamer Regal Interior & Exterior color schemes
I am a new member and also posted this question in Boat Buzz Support. I am restoring a 1969 Roamer Regal aluminum sedan. I found the 1968 and 1970 Roamer catalogs in the Archives, but no catalog for 1969 Roamer models. Does anyone have information on the ORIGINAL exterior paint scheme (hull & stripe...

Interior/Exterior color schemes on 1969 Roamer Regal Sedan
I found literature on 1968 and 1970 Roamer cruisers. I cannot find anything on the 1969 model year. I am just beginning my restoration project and would appreciate any information. Does anyone know of any photos of the original 1969 38' Roamer Regal Sedans showing interior (vee berths, settee and di...
