Re: Running my K on a stand
On oct 1st. knotty 48 mentioned about hooking up the exhaust pipe. Because of " cold air getting to the valves". Never heard of peopledoing that. What the reasoning behind that? Does it have to do with back pressure?

Re: Silver Arrow?
If you read the craigslist description. The boat for sale is not the boat pictured. Sorta makes you wonder why the owner didnt post pictures of his boat. Wonder what kind of condition it really is in, even for $50000?

Laclede no your thread was not the problem although it was getting steered in the wrong direction. The problem they are refering to was happening previously. When a user would click on a picture their screen would enlarge picture but underneath the enlarged pict. was 4-5 other sometimes suggestive p...

Thanks mr staib for the spec sheet. DPW1959 : The previous may have put that different prop because of more weight in the boat ( either people or gear or both) and that helped him get on plane faster or more top speed.

starting boats
Ive been to boat shows in the past (5-6yrs) and around mid afternoon the show organisers would ask the owners if they would start the boats engines and let them run for approx. 7-10 min. But in the last few years no one seems to be doing that any more. It was a really neat way for the spectators to ...

Engine wont start
Most people onthe buzz would advise against a electric pump because of fire if your engine dies your pump may continue to pump fuel to a hot engine. Look at previous posts under ENGINES im sure you will find the reasons not to put on an electric. Besides they didnt use them "back in the day". If you...

Yes i believe you have an m block. Mfine the link to prop numbers is not really what he needs. Hans needs to know if that is the right size prop for his particular boat. Hans if you have your hull card it should have the prop number written in next to line that says "wheel installed" my understanding is the 3 72 is the yaer the prope...
