Please follow the link below to view the current Articles of Incorporation filed with the State of Florida.
While we realize these might not be perfect the documents represent great progress towards the CCABC being set up properly as a 501c3 and governed by the membership.
many more improvements to come as 2013 progresses
Best regards

Don and the BOD,
Looks like a great start. Shouldn't the BOD terms be staggered instead of all expiring at once?

Hello Frank - Thanks for your observations. To the best of my knowledge, the club did not ever have by-laws in the past. The articles were last updated in approximately 1993 and were not on the website.
Sometimes things take a bit longer when the club is managed by volunteers, but we are moving in the right direction. Several club members with legal backgrounds and experience assisted in the preparation, modification and filing of these documents - running this club is a team effort that frequently involves other volunteers and club members. We are very thnakful for the help of these additional volunteers.
Although most won't read these documents, the BOD felt it important to allow the membership to easily access the documents which determine how the club is constituted and operated.

The Articles are different than the By-Laws.
The initial Articles were to establish the first BOD's with a specific term.
In the By-Laws under Section II Directors, line H you will find the provision for establishing a staggered term BOD.
It may not be perfect but we will execute this plan as best as possible.
Thanks for the question because this Club belongs to all the membership.
