still have buzz issues?

Post by jfrprops » Sat Nov 25, 2017 9:49 am

I get web notices on email that there is a new post on a topic I was following....so I hit one of the red highlighted lines and go to that new posting...but I can read the text but I am not properly signed in or some such and can't see the pic...so I am directed to the sign in page and then I get a different page come up....all the buzz stuff....forcing me to recall under what topic I was????

this stuff is weird and losing me.....

I am unable to post pictures, edit function is gone as is the ability to select a different page on a thread I may be on. The pics I posted previously (except for page one) I am told 'no longer exist'. I completed the new sign in protocol but these issues remain. My patience restoring Elude is infinite.... with this, not so much.

hell Jim, I don't even know what an "avatar" is....but wish you and everyone could get these things back to the old way.

Clearly us veterans of the site are dinosaurs now. I note that Instantjunk and fakebook have taken over as the go to place for all our much loved boat sites...guess it is time to bow out.

Thankfully I have the way to contact 10 or more of the old timers and between them can solve any boat issues that arise ....but likely no help on the cyber crap....?

Heck, we should just be GOING BOATING or working on boats in the cold....anyway.

John in VA: Once you are logged in you should be able to click on the link from your e-mail and get right back to the thread you are looking for provided you click on the box next to "Remember Me" when you log in.

Roberpaul: I don't know why you can't post a picture? I seem to be able to. I will have Brian look into the edit option.

Keep letting me know what is not working because I have not been digging into it this deeply.

Troy, I’m still having some problems w/ logging on using my iPad. I’m allowed to log on going to the Buzz using the link from Woodyboater. But I am still unable to log onto the CCABC homepage. I have no problems at all using my iMac though.
If no one else is experiencing this the problem is probably on my end. Nothing I can’t deal with.

Get that webmaster guy to make the "post a reply" bigger and/or more prominent.

I know this is just change that I am averse to.....I will keep trying.....you guys do that same.

Know for sure Troy is trying.

Hi Captain: I do not know if others are having trouble with their I-Pads (Oh I could make some comment about how you pad must be bunching up, but I will leave that alone.) If everything is working with your I-Mac I suspect it is not an Apple problem, but something to do with your settings on your Pad.

Keep the Faith!

Hey Troy, My iMac is now doing the same thing now. My only way in is thru the link from Woodyboater. Which is fine, I go there anyway, but I am afraid I'm getting squeezed out.

Interesting! I got an e-mail from Matt Smith today saying that they are having trouble with people seeing their site with I-pads and are we having the same trouble.

Give me a flat head 6 cyl Herc any day over this stuff.

I have a Mac desktop. For a while I was missing many pictures on our website but now they are back. Now I can not search on the hull registry to do my Boat of the Week. I wonder if it is my computer or it is that way for everyone. Would someone try doing a search on the registry and let me know if it works for them?

I could not get the drop down boxes to work. Used the fill in box with 1929 Chris Craft and no results. Weird as I should have two of them registered. Still no Avatar update capability.

I had changed my Avatar and the old one appeared. Just went back and added both my 1929 Chris-Crafts. under model there is no option for "Triple Cockpit" or "Runabout" FYI. After adding them I went back and did the search and still nothing.

Sorry to say it repeatedly, but I can't get Boat Buzz to accept my recent photos, can't scroll through existing pages, edit function gone, and previously posted images "no longer exist". I was counting on Boat Buzz to be the story of my project that I could share into the future. Losing all of these records has been very disappointing. Consequently, I have decided to develop my own project diary independent of this or any other site. Hopefully, others will find Boat Buzz functional for their needs.

Down to one device now. My laptop and mobile phone have been locked out again and if I try and email someone it doesn't work either.

Why is this continuing ?

Nothing is getting resolved that I can tell.

Is anyone trying to get Boat Buzz back to where it was before the 'upgrades'? If not, I would ask the CCABC to just say that it is what it is.

Hi Gang!

Haven't been here for a bit, trying to keep the rest of the Club working also.

Yes we are working on Boat Buzz. Right now having Trading Dock on a different server is costing us $300 per month, so getting that moved is the priority so that it will free up money to have the code written to fix some of the problems here.

I don't have any idea why some of us can post pictures while others can't. That is rather perplexing to me. I have been able to post pics and so has Dr. Rot.

Yup that function still works.

I am compiling a list for IT so if you would like to get a hold of me directly send an e-mail to [email protected]

I really don't know what is happening with this site and if it just me or others but there is no little bullets next to topics and I can't ever see if one is new or i have read it. It's been like this for a couple months and I didn't change any setting. I tried to change passwords a few time and nothing seems to help. Any suggestions?
