KL generator to alternator swap

Have 12v system and want go to an alternator. Any specific alternator I should be looking or? Thanks

Pat Crusse makes a bolt on kit. I have used Delco-Remy 10SI one wire marine alternators. They take a lot of machining to get them to fit including modifying the front motor mount. Might be worth checking in to adding a pulley to the front of the flywheel.

I bought and installed the 12V alternator from Pat Crusse. Bolted right on and worked as expected. I wound up using a thinner lockwasher (external tooth) and thicker M16-1.5 nut to get more threads on the short shaft. Use a small (not large) electric impact wrench to tighten the nut.
