The k and the ko are both 95hp. The o in ko stands for opposite rotation (port side in a twin screw installation).
Your kl is a k model with a long stroke producing 105hp.

Boats are to be made of wood, otherwise, God would have grown fiberglass trees.
Re: K Series model differences
here is what i know based on research on the 1937-39 cc deluxe runabout. in 1937 they offered the K series engine, and it was billed as 85 hp. in '38 they did a KA (aluminium head) at 95 h.p. . For 1939 the standard K was available at a stated hp of 95. So it appears that from at least '39 on it is 95 hp. '37 and earlier would have been 85.

Re: K Series model differences
Depending on your boat? What year, style? What did it come with? The K engine had lots of evolution like Don said. I also in 1937 have an H the pre-curser to the K. 75HP. Slight differences. The later models are more refined. L stands for long stroke and is usually associated with more performance. Less easy. my KLC is a beast. hard to start, Cammy as hell. And fast and strong. The H runs like a sewing machine.

And of course the 100hp K with a serial# over 204761
You really want the long stroke. Everything will line up better.
