If it doesn't pertain to metal, wood, wire or fabric—but it is about vintage Chris-Crafts, ask your question or give your advice here.

1949 18ft sportsman cover

Post by martyhills » Thu Nov 12, 2015 6:21 am

Hi all,

I have a 1949 18ft sportmans and I need a new cover for it. I can get a custom one done in Australia however it will cost me a small fortune. I was wondering if anybody knows of a company or where I can get a good cover for my boat?

It is only to keep the sun and rain off her as I trailer her nude.

Thanks so much!

Marty

Not aware of any specifc covers made commercially for wood cc/s. however, you might go to the Overton's web site. They are one of the main US sites for water sports equipment, boat accessories, etc. they carry an innumerable variety of boat covers. perhaps they could find one that would more or less work for your boat? good luck.

Could you show a picture of your boat? We have 2 18' Chris Crafts in the shop and if they are the same we can have one made for you. Just wondering if it has a spotlight and other details that would effect the making of the cover.

Thank you for the picture. The one we have in the shop now is not the same and I have another customer with your same boat but it is put away in storage and I can't get to it until May. Sorry about that, if something changes I'll let you know.
