Stern pole wiring
I have a 1967 25' sea skiff sportsman with a stern pole that I can't seem to get wired correctly to turn on. It has two wires from the pole that go through the stern pole bracket and attach to two wires behind the back seat. No matter which way I connect them, it will not turn on. The stern pole does not seem to have a bulb housing that can be dismantled to see if the bulb is burnt out. Anyone have any ideas of what will work? Thanks.

It looks like that may be one of the lights that has a snap ring that holds it all together. With the light upside down, look under the lip, just below the rivet, (which may be a repair item). If there is a ring, you need to carefully pry it out without damaging the fixture and then the ring and the lens should come off to allow you to replace the bulb.
