Looking for a Zenith Carb Part - Idle Jet
Hi,
I'm trying to get my Sportsman up and running and need the following part. Please let me know if you have a carb core or this part separately.
According to my zenith diagram, it's the "Idle Jet".
Carburetor is a 11168C. It's off of a 1954 KLC.
It's approx 3" long, brass tube on one end, threaded end and jet on the other.
Thank you,
Dustin

Thanks Frank for the suggestion, I have looked and called around for another carb, no luck.
When my carb was disassembled for rebuild the base of the idle jet tube was cracked. Also showed signs of previous attempted repairs which were marginal at best.
There's also some repair work to the jet side as well as debris inside that area. It's had a hard life, would like to replace it for piece of mind. I want my boat to run like a champ.
I'm contemplating having a machine shop make a new one. Not the cheapest route for sure.

Is there a jet number on the jet or in the manual? It is possible that other Zenith carbs used the same idle jet.
I did a google search for zenith carb repair and came up with:
The Carburetor Shop: http://www.thecarburetorshop.com/Carburetor_ID.htm
I have also seen ads in the "Brass Bell." You might also try Van Ness.
Good luck.
