See your show review in Brass Bell...Calling all volunteers!

Post by Don Ayers » Sun May 02, 2010 6:32 pm

Ever wanted to see your local show reviewed in an issue of the Brass Bell? You can make it happen, just volunteer to do a write up of less than 500 words and submit it to Bill Basler @ [email protected]. Take some pictures while you are at it with a camera that has at least 5 Mega Pixels.

Look for some interesting people with interesting boats and focus in on a few key pearls as to why your show is fun to attend. Maybe give a couple tips on attractions and where to stay so people can plan for next year etc.

Your Brass Bell staff wants and needs your contributions so never complain if your show is not in the magazine.

We know you are out there and many people want to venture out to other events but never know what they are all about.

Who will be the first to respond?

I'm 'hoping' that my resto-project will be complete in time to allow me arrival at the Toronto ACBS gathering on the the Trent this summer. Rest assure I will have my camera gear aboard and will definitely provide a write-up!

Great post Don. I will follow my saying that we are going to ramp up in our efforts to represent every corner of the US, Canada and the world. This is the chance to feature your corner of the world. I would love to see more about European boat shows and I know we have active members out there to cover these events.

We'd love to see some new destinations we have never seen before!

This is a great idea! Many of us would love to show off what our area has to offer. I know I'd love to hear and see the other, less traveled, show's from around the country. Who knows, maybe a budding journalist / photographer will capture a real gem.
