Automatic Baler
Does anyone know the correct position of the automatic baler (syphon) on a 17 foot 1940 barrel stern? Where should the pickup end of the tube be? Thanks for quick reply!

Be sure you have a ball type seacock valve on the thru hull fitting and double clamp the hose to it. If the hose leaks or comes loose, that will be below the water line and your bilge pump might not be able to keep up. Also be sure that the anti-siphon hole at the top of the bend is clear (poke through it with a stiff piece of wire).
