Graves should be at Mt. Dora and probably, so will New England Plating. In my experience, Graves is 2 times the price of both New England Plating and Wade Technology (Plating) in Philadelphia for what I consider to be the same quality. I have been very pleased with both New England and Wade Technology (advertises in the Rudder) with quick turnaround. A slight nod might go to Wade if you hold a gun to my head. Remember though, your mileage may vary. I am a practical guy that does consider price when making a decision and my standards may not be the same as someone else's. But when I cannot tell the difference for 2x the price that is an easy decision. Of course, (and some will cringe) when I say this "It all pretty much looks the same after it gets water spots on it anyway".
BTW, if you are considering having stuff chromed bring it to Mt. Dora. I have had estimates done on the spot and left the chrome with the chromers there, saving outgoing shipping and dealing face to face with the chromer.

At the risk of a shameless plug, I'll second Tom's nod to Wade. Jim is a nice guy to deal with. All of the thirteen orders that I have sent his way were completed in a timely fashion, sometimes remarkably fast, and it's like Christmas when you unwrap them. He is a professional. He is not only fastidious about his own return packaging, he is concerned about the way you package your shipment to him to minimize risk of damage in transit. If he has concerns about something that you send to him for plating, he will call you before proceeding.
Hope that this helps,
Paul

I completely agree with the comments about Wade technology. Jim Wade has been replating all of the chrome on my boat and to my eyes, it is perfect. Jim is also a ‘wooden boater’ and is a member of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Antique and Classic Boat Society (ACBS)
