Staining

Post by trebot » Sun May 10, 2020 5:46 am

1st time staining. Used Interlux Chris Craft Filler stain. Followed directions: thin with Interlux 333 to thick house paint consistency. Let sit for ten minutes then wiped off. Let sit for a day and decided stain was too thick and I wanted more grain to show.
Sanding was too agressive and spotty.
Best result was wiping Interlux thinner 333 very lightly over stain . Results were great. Nice color and grain presentation.
