This topic does not fit neatly into any one of the nine catagories so I decided "Engines & Powertrain" was the closest fit. I am restoring a '52 Riviera and would like to find out the dimensions of the engine compartment floor boards and how they were installed ( location of boards relative to frame under front of fuel tank, and location of mounting fasteners). I have floor boards that were cut by the previous owner and supplied loose, but they appear to be too long (interfere with the self bailer just forward of the fuel tank and do not lay flat on the supporting frames and ribs). Are the floorboards simple rectangles? Can someone provide guidance in this regard as well as location and fastening?
Also, did the engine compartment ventilation tubes penetrate the floor boards or terminate above them?

Re: Riviera Engine Compartment Floor Boards
Riviera's only had boards on each side of the engine.
Re: Riviera Engine Compartment Floor Boards
With a hole saw, cut a hole in the floor board plank where the self bailer hose goes through. I can take some dimensions and pics next week and post them.

Re: Riviera Engine Compartment Floor Boards
Thanks for those replies. That solves the problem of interference with the self bailer.
Do the floor boards butt up against the engine stringers or is there a space between the stringer(s) and the floor board(s)?
Seems like a space may be desireable for ventilation.

I planned on getting to the boat today to take some pictures.....however I spent 11 hours fighting with my new laptop and wasted the whole day. I had to call in the reinforcements, but we won the war. I will try to get it tomorrow for you.

They are different sizes depending on the size of the boats. The automatic bilge does not go through an engine floor board but I have seen the vent tube go through the engine floor board, but only on one side.
