oil line fitting

Post by doubleboater » Tue Sep 20, 2011 5:48 pm

I have a 52 klc engine. Im trying to hook up the waterpump lines. i know the T fitting rear threads go to the oilcooller. What does the front of the T go to. Can someone post a picture of drivers side of the engine. Or help me find a decent picture to look at. I need a picture with the water lines and oil cooler lines hooked up. Thanks.....jeff

Tfitting

I think i solved my own dilema. The front of the T goes to the oil pressure guage, Andthe threaded hole on the block near the lip of the oil pan goes to the other fitting on the oil coooler. My lines are still attached to my cooler but my cooler was not in the boat to visualise . Can someone tell me if that sounds like the right hook up? THANKS TO WHOEVER ANSWERS....JEFF

You are correct. The T fitting is hard to find if you dont already have one.

Hi Jeff,
You are correct...one line from the oil cooler goes to the hole in the side of the block and the other goes to the rearward side of the T. The front side of the T goes to the oil pressure gauge.
The pictures aren't great but you get the idea.

I'm up that early every morning, I read your post and dredged through my pix to find what I thought might help. After all of the help that I have gotten from other members throughout the years it's the least I can do.
