283 to 327 swap?

Post by Mark Christensen » Sun Jan 29, 2023 7:35 pm

I'm sure this has been asked before but I haven't found any definitive answers. I have a 1960 20' sea skiff with a 283. Would swapping to a 327 be that big of a deal? The engine mounts, exhaust ports and wiring must be pretty close to the same correct?

Or better yet, upgrade to a 350 Chevy, same blocks, although the 327 is one of my all time favorite motors! Something about that small journal, short stroke 4" bore!!!
