I have a KL as well. I read your other post. I am a little confused by your description of water routing. In my setup most of the water runs through the exhaust manifold and a much smaller copper tube runs some water to the intake manifold. Is that your setup as well ? A photo may help.

Unless you can prove that you have water leaking into the carb then I think it is more of a electronics issue (ignitor overheat ?).
