check with clawson or kocian instruments repair guys. they might even have some or know of a source to get them. Presumably the dash holes should give you this info too?

Thats my problem I don't have the old dash board and the prints I have from the Mariners Museum, one shows 4 gauges,Tach,Oil,Temp and Ammeter but on the wiring diagram it shows a oil/temp gauge?

I have a 1952 Riviera that came with an optional "gasoline" gauge. On my boat the large gauge to the right (STBD) of the large (4" diameter) gauge tachometer is a combined oil pressure and amp gauge (also 4" diameter) the smaller outboard gauges are 2 3/4" diameter; in my case the smaller outboard gauges are "temperature" and "gasoline". Without the gasoline gauge option there is not any combination gauge; the four gauges are temperature, tachometer, oil pressure and ammeter I believe. Still two 2 3/4" outboard gauges and two 4" diameter gauges in the center above, and on either side of the steering column.
Hope that helps.

Now is that 4 inches outside to outside or 4 inches face of glass? I just bought 2 gauges one is a Tach and the other is a Oil/Amp and they both are 4 inches outside to outside,I am not sure if they are the right ones for my boat, Thanks for your information

Presumably if there are gauge options your hull card would indicate if they were put in your boat. Might check our archives here to see if there is a 50 catalogue. Sometimes there are dash pictures.

The gauge diameters that I indicated are for the chrome bezel that holds the glass in the gauge. I think this is the size hole that you would need in the dash board for the gauge(s) since tha actual diameter of the brass gauge(s) case is slightly smaller. The chrome escutcion (sp?) that keeps the gauges from falling through the dash are larger in diameter. Attached are some of my attempts at photography.

I guess it is true. You do learn something new everyday! Post a pic of your wiring diagram Allan. Maybe some of the experts on here can confirm that your gauge is dual purpose.

Attached is a schematic wiring diagram , circa 1952, that shows the "gasoline" gauge option. The schematic shows the gasoline gauge wiring as a dotted line. One way to tell if the gasoline gauge was an option , other than the hull card, is if the fuel tank is fitted with a 'porch' for the level sensor on the starboard side of the tank.
