Identify Light

Post by [email protected] » Wed Feb 02, 2022 9:28 am

Hi all,

I would like to identify the spot light in these pictures. It came with the 1956 17' Sportsman that I bought. It was not mounted on the boat. There are no identify marks on the light. I assume it was chrome at one time, but if so the chrome is long gone and it is all brass now.

I’m wondering if it comes from the old Portable Light Co. out of Kearney, NJ. I bet it came from them.

I think I identified it. While searching Portable Light Company I found an almost identical light made by Alpurlite.

Have never seen this manufacturer before. I have an Ivalite on my 56 cruiser. That was a popular manufacturer. I was given a half point off at a show due to the Ivalite not being part of the original delivery. Good luck, also getting a bulb for that may be tough.
