Ok, so not suggesting this is the wisest thing to do or something I would do on a regular basis, but thought I'd ask while I sort out my charging issues next week.
Lets say I start out with a well charged battery. My battery is a Group 24 dual Start/Deep Cycle with 625 cranking amps, 120 reserve and 70 amp hours. If I have no charging going on - can I go on a short boat ride in my skiff with a model K? Not looking for a maximum ride, just a short one - like 20 minutes at 1500 rpm in the daytime with no stops. Boat starts like a champ, uses points, no accessories. Have a family member visiting this weekend only who I wold love to offer a short ride. Never far from land and friends here in the Thousand Islands.

If you don't stop and re-start a lot and your bilge pump doesn't run too long you should be okay.
