I have a lot of classics and one modern - a 2002 Harris Kayot 27' Pontoon. And a Sea Doo. Like and use both new ones, but prefer the old stuff. The neswedt glass boat I ever owned was a 1973.

I don't know what they are worth down south, but the prices in Canadian are way to far out of reach for the average boat lover. But I understand why........look at them!

I know it is off topic..but to complete the direction of the thread:

Back in my youthful CAR DAYS, I once traded a 1930 Model A five window, rumble seat, coupe....for a
c o r v a i r.....the car dint't kill me...but when I think back on the deal I almost die....

I just have the one '69 Chris Craft, but if I had the funds, my modern day boat of choice would be a 25' Chris Craft Launch.

I will admit that I am a wooden boat snob. No 'glass for me, sorry.

Now that I've seen the 20' Chris Craft Silver Bullet, I wonder why God doesn't make fiberglass trees.

Wilson,

The Silver Bullet is an outstanding boat. My personal favorite is the Lancer GT Concept from a few years back. I never went into production, just did the show tour like SEMA, etc. It is Ferrari red with a Ferrari like camel interior and is the inspiration for my current project. You can find images if you Google it.

The CC fit and finish is truly second to none.

I have to admit that I have a small Navy, but since the cottage is on an island all by itself, you sort of accumulate things that go in the water. My first boat that I bought new was a 1990 21' Chris Craft Concept 198. I still have it and LOVE it. It is an OMC 4.3L V6 that has been bulletproof reliable, sips gas, and runs 45 MPH. I just recently aquired a '56 18' Continental in probably the worst deal of the century, but once I put my retirement savings into, I will love it forever, I am sure. The other 'notable boats' are:

1963 Thompson Thomboy 16'
2013 Harris Flotebote pontoon
1979 Hobie 16
1950's? Wood Peterborough 17' runabout (rotting)
2009 Lowe 12' Jonboat
3 old aluminum row boats
1 old aluminum canoe with sailing rig
1 paddleboat

I have a 1965 Custom Ski Boat that my late father and I bought in 1978. It's recently undergone a full restoration and is in great shape. But with a couple of grandkids and a desire to cruise some bigger waters, I recently purchased a 2014 Chris Craft Launch 22. Its actually 23.5 " long, and it's beautiful, soft riding and fast.
