Chris-Craft Seeks Your Vintage Photos for 2012 Brochure
Greetings Chris-Craft Antique Boat Club,
We are currently working on the 2012 Chris-Craft Brochure and would like to invite you be a part of it. We are going to try something new this year and have a page with a collection of vintage photos to celebrate our history. We have a vast library of vintage photos but we like the "quirky" ones the best. Those are the natural snapshots taken of people on their boats capturing a whimsical moment in time.
We would like to invite you to submit your fun vintage photos to be considered for inclusion in the new 2012 brochure.
If interested, please send to: [email protected] and be sure to include any information you may have about the photo. We may also post it on the Chris-Craft website.
Thank you!

Ya, you could show them my photo and they would say it was "Photoshopped" Lets not get started about judgesrdapron wrote:Jim;
I don’t think I have ever seen so many fender cleats on a Cadet. What would be the purpose of having fender cleats on the transom? Was it because they held down the factory shipping canvas? My bet is a “judge” would ding you today if you placed fender cleats on the transom today.

Ron,
Quite a few Cadet's came that way. Russ Arrand restored one several years ago that came loaded with fender cleats, including on the aft deck. It won about every boat show it was entered in. Judges can't argue with the hull card.
The 20' Custom that is on the cover of the upcoming Brass Bell came from the factory with 10 small cleats. All for the boat cover.

Cleats
Yes the cleats were factory installed to tie the canvas down, the cover had a slot sewn in with a small piece of line to wrap around the cleat and tie. Have seen boats with this option a few times, steve
