I have inherited a Christ Craft from my dad that has been in storage for 21 years, I am in the process of restoring it and have a few questions....The first is what year is it? and where is the best place to have the motor re-built? I've attached some pictures of the Motor and Hull. The Motor is Model K , Engine Number 203814, Firing order 153624 (best I can tell). The Hull number is V16 942

my direct email is [email protected] and my cell is 205-337-5324 if it's easiest to contact me directly.

thanks for all the help and direction, I never done anything like this before. My dad passed away with Parkinson's and I want to restore it in his honor and have it for my kids and grandchildren to enjoy.

Not sure what you have here. According to the Essential guide, V 16 was a small Cavalier cruiser with an outboard engine and the hull numbers went up to 600. Do you have a photo?

That model was built from 1955-59. Given your high serial number I would guess 1958 or 59. K engines are a simple rebuild for a good shop. Parts are available from a few suppliers. Finewoodboats.com is one of the best. Looks like you might be in Alabama. I am sure there are restoration shops available to do the work or advise you. Try to find an ACBS chapter. Antique and Classic Boat Society. They may have a show in your area where you could meet people.
