Progress Update

Post by James Bullbrook » Wed Sep 13, 2006 2:48 pm

Well, it's been a fairly productive summer in the world of bottom restoration. If anyone's interested, I've posted an update on my blog: http://www.1964constellation.blogspot.com/

The highlight (or lowlight, depending on your point of view) was removing a 14 foot section of keel in order to replace a badly rotted keelson. Fabricating the new keelson was also a challenge, but a fun one, and the results were certainly worth the effort...

I'm still flirting with the naive notion that I can complete the port side before the snow flies. We'll see.
