SK-18-074: BETSY is on Craigslist

Post by Grant Stanfield » Fri Aug 23, 2013 12:42 am

Howdy, Skiffers!

Here's a link to my Craigslist ad for SK-18-074, our 1955 18' Sea Skiff, which we are selling to make way for DENBY, our new 1954 22' Sea Skiff. Pass it along to anyone you know looking for a worthy project skiff...

Looks like a reasonable project at a reasonable price. :)

Well, well, well...

Look who's back on the market! My recently-sold previous boat, an early 1955 18' Chris*Craft Sea Skiff originally from Lake Minnetonka and previously sold from the giant 'Warner Collection' classic boat auction, is once again for sale on Craigslist, along with another 18' Sea Skiff sistership:

It seems the fella I sold my hull (SK-18-074) to also purchased a second identical project boat from a Door County collector; this new sister has a better hull and has been stripped down for restoration; her engine is complete but in bits. Apparently, the new owner decided wooden boats were not his deal, after all...que cera, cera...

I believe he's trying to get both boats sold off as a package, complete with trailers. I don't know his price, so contact him directly if you get the itch. They're wonderful boats, but this will not be for the faint-hearted. Make one good classic out of both if you desire!
