Hull iD number location

Post by [email protected] » Fri Jun 28, 2024 8:53 pm

I purchased a supposedly 23-foot 1963 Sea Skiff with a non-standard hull number. From what I can determine, the only 23-foot Sea Skiffs were made between 1960 and 1961.

Where on the boat would I find the original specification plate with the correct hull ID and pertinent information?

Thanks.

Hopefully you found your hull number since this post is several months old, but my father owned a 1963 31' Sea Skiff and I recall that CC stamped the hull number into one engine stringer, also inside of the dash/control panel and behind the bowlight. It was behind the bowlight since it was a cruiser model, so it might not be there on your 23'. But I am sure that CC stamped the number in 2 if not 3 locations in your hull. And if your ID plate is still on the boat, it should be somewhere on the inside of the motor box.

Good Luck,
