The Sunnyland Antique Boat Festival

Post by Al Benton » Sun Jan 19, 2014 4:17 pm

The Sunnyland Boat Festival, March 28-30, 2014 is just weeks away. It marks the traditional kick-off for the 2014 boating season and is attended regularly by many members of our Club. Again this year we would like to plan a Chris-Craft Antique Boat Club Member and Guest Get-Together at the Festival. We will be working on the details in the coming days and will announce the day, time and location for this very soon. Stay tuned!

Looking forward to seeing all my CCABC friends in Tavares next month. Please stop by the Hagerty booth and say hello! Susan Siegrist, from our marine division, will be joining me this year and would like to put a face with a name and a voice!

John, it will be great to see you there too.

Folks, in just 6 short weeks many of us will be gathering at the Sunnyland Antique Boat Festival in Tavares, FL. If you're not planning to be there, change those plans and help us kick off the 2014 boating season!

We have arranged for a casual Get-Together on Saturday afternoon at 1:30 PM under The Big White Tent with a few announcements, introductions, a couple of photos and lots of visiting with fellow members and guests. We may even have a cooler or two of refreshments.

Last year we celebrated the Club's 40th Anniversary. This year marks the 40th year of continuous publication of The Brass Bell. Another great excuse to celebrate and to be proud of.

I need a little more info.
Exactly where is this show?
Is there a web site or something where there's more info?

I do plan to be there for one day or the other.
Which is better? Mainly I want to meet the people.

It will be my first time at the show.
I'll be driving from the Clearwater area. Any one want a ride?

I'll be there! :D

First time at Sunnyland. We fly out of the Great White North two weeks from tomorrow. Spend a week in the area. Even going to join up with the St. Johns Southbound Cruise for Tuesday. Guy Marvin III has been a great help arranging that, and your very own Paul Harrison has hooked us up with space in a friends boat. 8)

Sandi and I will plan on being there Saturday under the big white tent. May have some friends with us so you might want to get a bigger cooler. Just Kidding

THANKS FOR THE INVITATION :!:

Troy, I look forward to meeting you and Sandi.
Actually, we will meet on Tuesday in Palatka on the St. John's River Cruise. The Southbound Cruise has been a bucket list item for years. Finally get to check it off.
Yes, bring your friends, we've got a big cooler!

Troy, I too look forward to the southbound trip and meeting you. For the benefit of other members, I received an email from Guy Marvin, who runs the cruise, that there is still space available for more boats and riders. While my boat is full for Tuesday, I would urge anyone who is considering this trip, or just the one day, to contact Guy and get in on the fun. I don't have his email in front of me right now but if you post a response to this message, I will find it.
