Photo 3 is a 1940 28' Gar Wood MAGGIE B owned by Bill Gage on Geneva Lake.

#4 is a 1929 or 1930 26' Hackercraft I can't pin down.

#7-13 is really interesting. I don't know where this boat wound up but would like to. It is a 1929 or 1930 33' Gar Wood.

#19 is a 1932 25' Gar Wood JANE owned by Jud Laws family. It used to be owned by Gar Wood's brother.

Thanks, these are fun!

i think the hacker was also owned at the time by gage, parked next to maggie b. this pic was taken early 80's during a show there. i don't think it was acbs related.

jane w's eddie mae was photoed at its coming out party at janesville wisc., mid to late 80's i think. from what i remember is it was a paper tycoons boat from upper midwest. i heard it went to willie's northen wisc. and never heard from again. i don't think todd w had connection to this boat. jim s. probably knows more.

jane was photoed at hessel show, 1980 close i remember. sign reads 1934. i note how flat the aft deck appears in pic. i almost had a 36-28' like this. long sad story. todd w had connections to it. long time ago.

are we the only 2 that look at this site everyday?

your welcome.

Eddie Mae sat at Willies in Winchester, WI for years. Last I heard The Turcotte's brokered it to someone in GA.

Great post! Thanks for sharing.

Actually, I think all of those boats are "Miss Lisa", Matt Byrnes overly featured GW, in various lengths and stages of restoration.

cutwater guy, I think you would be amazed at the number of people who look at these posts. I think it is the case that many dont have anything in particular to contribute to this one but wait and see. More info will no doubt come in.

i sould give out more info when i posted, the first 2 of the 16 split was a boat north of indianapolis indiana that was for sale mid to late 90's. i don't rember the guys name. maybe it got bought and preserved someway.

the 2 pics showing a restor is a 37-19 custom owned by g spears out west coast. he and i did alot of back and forth as i got one in super but old original condition. needs restore. he borrowed alot to have reprod'd. i actually never saw that boat.

the 18' split was b chapins at the time pic was taken at a fox lake ill. show. early 80's.

the 19 custom, is a 38 model with those gauges i think, pic was taken early 80's hessel parked 90 in the boat house slip.

the 2 utility pics (b4 maggie b) are the same boat belonging to b turgeon, pics were taken at fox lake and port huron mich show. b chapin did work on b turgeons boats. i haven't been able to find any pics of b turgeons g-w streamliner yet. b turgeon past way a number years back. what ever happened to his susans lament?

i'm sure the boats are still around, in good hands i hope. thanks 4 looking.

Mike,

None of these pics are of Miss Lisa, But I have some if you want to see them :D

CutWaterGuy,

Garret Spears did finish the restoration of his boat, it was at the ACBS International show last fall. CutWaterGuy do you happen to live in northern Indiana?

Maggie B is still owned by the gage family on Lake Geneva. I don't think the boat gets out much, I would love to see it at our annual show one of these years!
