1988 Scorpion 210 BR Ski-Jack
Hello. I'm a new-comer, and a first-time poster. I'm also a first-time boat owner, which means this is also my first Chris-Craft.
As I look forward to fixing her up this winter, I am looking for resources - where to find OEM parts and canvas, etc.
This board looks like to be comprised of primarily older boats, but I am hopeful that someone can help.
Thank you!!

Welcome to the Buzz...congratulations on your purchase. You may not find much info on a newer CC like yours, but you will find a plethora of guys with tons of knowledge of everything on a boat. Many have newer boats as well, although some may not admit that they spend any time on a fiberglass craft.
As far as parts go, most engine parts can probably be purchased at any boat dealer or repair shop that services your engine make, probably a Mercruiser I would guess. I also see plenty of parts on eBay, including decals, engine parts, body parts and hardware.
For canvas, I would find a good local trim shop that can make you whatever you may need. Good luck.

Post some pics. I think this is the last of the Murry CC years of production. Scorpion is a cool boat.

Not much to post yet.
Spent last summer working on mechanics - new bearings in transmission, new gimbal, etc.
Boat is in for all new floor, motor mounts, bulkhead, rear bench (seat), and adding an access panel to the floor so the transmission is accessible for maintenance; new carpet and potentially upholstery...if the checkbook (and wife!) will allow it.
Pace rhymes with Grace.
But this ole' boat is gonna kill me!

According to CC, "This boat [my boat] was built in June of 1987 and it is a very early 1988 model boat. This one was built in Goshen, IN. The Ski Jack is a special model with a mid-engine running a jack-shafted Mercury outdrive. This is for balance and slower speed towing ability. See attached. The engine is under the seat. We have no way to determine how many were built not having access to any of Murray Industries’ production records. I suppose your next question would be who has access and the answer is we don’t know. OMC owned Chris Craft after Murray did and they shut down before we acquired the company."Don Ayers wrote:Post some pics. I think this is the last of the Murry CC years of production. And that was the end of my hull research.
