Did Chris Craft make an extended hardtop for the 34 ft DCFB? If not can anyone
Suggest a hardtop model design that could be adapted to fit and would look right?

I have an extended hardtop on my 1960 36' Connie. It also has an enclosed wheelhouse. The hardtop was extended by about 18". This was done by first building a framework which was attached by screws and then supported by ribs underneath which were left exposed and finished to match the interior brightwork. On the top side it was decked with teak and finished just like my decks.

At some point it probably leaked because it was fibreglassed over and painted to appear seamless and match the rest of the hardtop. When I began to work on the roof and discovered what had been done originally I wanted to leave the teak exposed but I was talked out of it by a fellow Connie owner. Next time I'm leaving the teak exposed.

This may not be of use to you but just wanted you to know there were other options to buying a larger one.

My father had a 30' 1958 Sea Skiff when I was a kid. Dad bought the boat when it was less than 1 year old. The previous owner had the top extended and it really improved the lines of the boat in my opinion. Since we live in Florida, the extra shade was greatly appreciated. The extension copied the original framework and the original canvas on top was removed and replaced covering the full top.
