Hi,

Don posted on his site that he may be no longer supporting his forum and it would be going away.

I have no idea how feasible this is or if Don is willing to hand it over but is there any was all that historical information could be captured on this site ?

It would be kind of like cryogenically freezing part of his brain :)

I can't believe that no one has responded! I agree, his wealth of knowledge needs to be preserved. I have his books, and they are priceless. The information in his forums is equally precious. At some point he will stop paying for the domain, and all will be lost. Maybe we set up a go fund me page to pay for his website, and stop allowing new posts, but even that would be a shame.

Hi Steve:

On November 9th I sent Mark a PM explaining that there is a shortage of volunteers offering to help run the club. This would mean that even though bringing Danenberg files into Boat Buzz sounds like a wonderful proposition, The Club would NEED to have someone, like yourselves, who is passionate about this project pick up the ball and make it happen.

I suspect you are also correct in the assumption that some form of fund raising to finance a project like this would need to take place.

I can only hope that some of our passionate members decide to get involved in the management of this wonderful club.

Well that backfired! :) It turned quickly from 'here's what you should do' to 'here's what I should do'!!

I am not sure where I would even start. Maybe a call to Mr Danenberg is a good place?

Hi Steve:

That would be a good place to start. You could also contact the officers of CCABC at [email protected].

It would be a shame to lose any of that history.
