Mark, there's thousands of these companies out there. What is your threshold "good deal" price? Are you applying yourself?

Things to watch out for is to make sure your sign guy uses the highest grade vinyls. 3M, for example, has high, medium, and low cost vinyls, all with different fade ratings, adhesive quality, and so on. Also, you will need to find a shop that has large enough material and a cutter to handle wider vinyl. There are a ton of sign shops with 18" cutters. You get what you pay for, of course, but, you'll want to make sure your graphic, when scaled to desired size will cut in one pass of vinyl without a horizontal seam running through it.

I just had the name done for my boat in 3M vinyl with an outline and a drop shadow for $17.00.

EBuysigns.com

My image is 6"high and 36" long (not big enough for an 18' boat, I'm going to re-order in the spring and make the next one 10" x 46").
That increases the price to about $29.00 but still very affordable compared to sign shops.

The transaction was very professional and fast, I had my order in three days.
My lettering came mounted on transfer tape and they included easy to understand instructions that weren't written in 27 languages.

From the time I opened the package to the time I opened the first beer to admire my work was about 15 minutes.

Thanks guys, The gentleman’s name at boatlettering.com is Jim and is great to work with. He will make sure he has it right and will make whatever you want. Jim is familiar with the post war Chis Craft font so that helped. We also ordered the registration numbers. The total for the five decals was 280. This was far better than that cost of gold leaf paint which was not in the budget.
