Thompson of Peshtigo serial number 20826 falls into the 1961 model year range. Of course, the hull ID stamped into the transom is the defining item needed to verify the year. I have never heard of a Thompson Boat having any type of ID on the windshield. In 1961 centerline length of the Off-Shore Cab...

New steering cable. Painted a white boot stripe. Painted the motor. New propeller. New registration numbers. All I nee...

Hi, Nice boat. What year and length is she? Numerous differnt details from my '59 Off-Shore Cabin Cruiser. What is the hull ID and serial number (they are different) for the database I maintain? The hull ID is stamped into the wood of the transom inside the boat and the serial number is on the metal...

Don't trust the paperwork such as bill of sale, title, registration to be accurate. These are notorious for being inaccurate. If built after November 1972 there will be a serial number stamped into the fiberglass on the outside of the transom on the starboard side. The first three letters are a code...

We still have room at this MN show. If you are on the fence about bringing a boat, please jump on over to our side!
We want this to be another great show and it's those folks that make the effort to bring a boat that make it a great show.

I have two books about small sailboats that you can borrow. "Tinkerbelle" by Robert Manry was published in1965. It's about his adventure of sailing an Old Town boat across the Atlantic ocean from Mass to England. "Sloop" by Daniel Robb was published in 2008 and covers the restoration of his family's...

According to Jerry Conrad's book "Chris-Craft: The Essential Guide" on page 646 your boat is a 1971 model, one of 51 XK-19's built that year. There were 276 built during the entire production run between 1970 and 1974. She is 19'-3" long, 7'-4" wide weighs 2,861 pounds. She has a 34 gallon fuel tank...

I was out on the lake again today. Got home and removed the seats and vinyl covered side panels. Filled the holes from previous seats and other stuff. Will paint the existing fiberglass floor pan. I think I am going to use meranti plywood, stained and varnished, for the side panels lieu of the vinyl...

Wood Grain Vinyl - Corsair Sport V
Anyone ever replace the wood grain vinyl on the interior of their CC Corsair boats? It's in the cockpit ceiling, on the dashboard and the bulkheak under the deck. Need to find replacement material for my '66 Corsair Sport V outboard 17 1/2 footer. Any sources for this vinyl? Does anyone know what th...

Brought the boat today to the motor repair guy. He will take a look. Was there anything on the floor other than the fiberglass from the factory? Was there vinyl like Nautolex? or was it just the fiberglass? What was the enclosure made from that covered where the battery and fuel tank sat under the m...

Here's a clipper bow. This is a 1964 T & T Boats, Inc. 17'-11" Breakers. It's been in my family since it was obtained at the liquidation auction in May 1965. Originally called "My 5 Sons" she was renamed "My 6 Sons" when child number 6 arrived in 1967. I am son number 5! Andreas http://i232.photobuc...

Wasn't clipper that dolphin on TV with Ranger Ricks and his sons Sandy and Bud? Oh, er, that was Flipper. Never mind. The 1959 product line of Thompson Bros. Boat Mfg. Co. was advertised as have a more clipper bow than previous years' boats after a redesign. They stem was not as plumb as previous an...
