I don't think so. I haven't worked on an M, but the crankcase is open into the transmission housing on my 283. If there is enough oil in the engine pan, it flows over a 'bulkhead' into the trans housing. That's why it leaks if you add oil either place and explains why you still have some oil in the ...

If I understand the thread, you need a temporary way to keep oil from exiting (dripping/no pressure)from the bottom of the transmission case. How about just sandwiching some rubber gasket material between the bottom of the transmission case(covering the hole)and a metal plate and holding the sandwic...

I've never worked with a 6V system, but I assume they must make 6V chargers for them, and that a 12V charger could/would damage a 6V battery. Is yours a 6V charger?
