Re: Trading Dock
Good news! We have found that we can host Trading Dock far more reasonably, so it will be staying up for now. The Board of Directors is still looking into a new classified that will be part of our main site, but we should be able to keep Trading Dock active until that version is up and running. Than...

Trading Dock
As of January 1st 2019 Trading Dock will be taken down. The Board of Directors of The Chris-Craft Antique Boat Club have made the decision to shut down Trading Dock due to it's expense vs benefit ratio. The board members and IT are looking into another option to add a classified section to our main ...

I was told by a canvas maker to use Oxi-Clean. It didn't seem to do much, so this spring I used Oxi-Clean and Bleach and it seemed to work better. Oddly enough the cleanest spot was where a cat peed on it. Anyone know where you can buy a gallon of Cat Pee? Don't think that would smell too good though.

I REFUSE to use polyprop line! Can't stand the stuff. The first year that we launched American Beauty we were going to have her pulled on the Tuesday after Columbus Day in Damariscotta, Maine. If you know anything about Columbus Day in Damariscotta there is a HUGE event that weekend called "Pumpkin ...

Re: Inside storage in Michigan
IMHO an unheated gravel floor garage is the best option. That being said an unheated cement floor garage is not a bad option either. I kept Yorktown in an unheated cement floor garage for many years. After drying our the bilge for winter storage I would on occasion spread some water under the boat j...

Re: Engine bogs down past 2,100 RPMS
Interesting thread!
I am having a similar problem with an MCL and I have changed to Pertronix ignition. I have been expecting fuel delivery was my problem.
John where do I look for this coil resistor? Should it be removed or replaced?
Thanks guys!

Re: Starting issues
I was reminded today of another potential problem that can occur. (it happened with one of my WBR's today) :( Sometimes, especially if you have had your carbs rebuilt and have rubber tipped float needle valves, when your carbs dry out your float needle valve can get stuck in the seat and not allow g...

Re: Starting issues
After having a great deal of trouble with modern condensers I have converted a 6V MCL and two 12V WBR's to Pertronix ignition with GREAT success and am very pleased with the starting and running performance. That being said I think I have the larger distributors. If my memory serves me I think they ...

If it really is something of importance Dr. Rot will probably know what it is, be able to give you a part number, and have a new old stock version to sell you.

Thanks John, Matt, and Don for adding to this thread. :D As you all know I LOVE the cruisers! Anyone willing to save one should be encouraged any time they can be. Don: Have you ever used Slick Seam? It is very popular here on the coast of Maine. I think the Interlux seam compound is very similar an...

Re: Constellation Bottom Repair - New Member In Need Of Reassembly Advice!!!
Hi Mike: First I want to warn you that even though I own a cruiser I have never completed these kind of repairs, so what I am about to respond is NOT first hand knowledge and I am not a professional restorer, simply an armature. I feel it is important to know where your information is coming from. T...

Help me out here guys, I do not see the need for covering the interior if you are going to brush your finish. If you are going to spraying it would make sense to me. I guess it would protect the interior from any sanding dust. Maybe I answered my own question.

I purchased a brown one from Pat Crusse a few years back. http://www.crussenclassics.com/ I did end up purchasing a white one from California Classics. http://www.californiaclassicboats.com/chris.htm I like the look of the white one. Be aware that if you purchase this molding for a 21' Continental y...
