Re: still have buzz issues?

Very interesting. I can click on Jim Staib's screen shot and it enlarges but when I click on the original 3 boat picture I get nothing.

Re: still have buzz issues?

If I right click on the three boats I get no response. Left click also does nothing. On the side hull shot I get the same rotation as Jim.

If you have Hagerty insurance, the trailer is insured seperately from the boat.

Re: Best way to secure transome to trailer?

I just had my lifting ring re-chromed as it was a little beat up from using just the metal hook from the winch strap. Does someone have a source for a short (2') piece of strap or line with an eye on each end that I could put through the ring and then connect to the winch strap? I have looked on lin...

Re: still have buzz issues?

I have a Mac desktop. For a while I was missing many pictures on our website but now they are back. Now I can not search on the hull registry to do my Boat of the Week. I wonder if it is my computer or it is that way for everyone. Would someone try doing a search on the registry and let me know if i...

Re: How to keep Varnish looking shiny when on the water

Another important thing is to dry the boat off after every use to avoid build up of water spots. I use a mop with micro fiber threads. That makes it easier to do the sides. I am fortunate that my boat is kept on a lift and I can walk on both sides but any thing you can do will help.

Re: Motorfunding

I believe the engine stringers would be the same no matter which engine was installed. The shaft would also be the same although there might be a difference in the propeller. I know nothing about the diesel engine but I don't see why it would not work. Do not worry about the shaft. Just align the ne...

Go to the hull registry on the website. Use the search. Select Chris-Craft, then Custom, then the year, then the length. The camera icon indicates that there are pictures. There is usually the owners name.

Re: grape leaf 3 gauge panel

I went with an electric tach. The original tach rotated counter-clockwise so because I was using a more modern V-8 that rotated clockwise, I went with a new electric gauge that Mark created with a spider web face. The switch on the lower left was something a previous owner had added. It now runs the...

Leaky water pump

waterpump.JPG I just fired up my "new to me" B engine and it runs fine but leaks from the point where the two flanges screw together. I opened it up and found the paper gasket broken in a few places. I added this Permatex to both flanges and stuck the paper gasket in place the best I could. I put t...

I am working on a 1935 utility that someone else started. It came with a brand new wheel from sullivansgarage.com. Looking on their website it appears that it might be the 1935 Ford wheel but it is hard to say. $156! Look at it and give them a call.

s-l1600.jpg It is a 1935 Deluxe Utility 18' I found it on ebay last summer. The owner had begun the project but had to give it up.
